Child molesters and rapists usually serve less then 3 years, but we are going to put people in jail for not buying health insurance? Does anyone see something wrong with this? How much government control of your life do you want. Soon they will be telling you when to go to bed, what not to eat, what not to drink ... and if you disagree - off to the gulags with you!

"Libertarianism is the view that each person has the right to live his life in any way he chooses so long as he respects the equal rights of others. Libertarians defend each person's right to life, liberty, and property-rights that people have naturally, before governments are created. In the libertarian view, all human relationships should be voluntary; the only actions that should be forbidden by law are those that involve the initiation of force against those who have not themselves used force-actions like murder, rape, robbery, kidnapping, and fraud."

In U.S. politics, a libertarian is often thought to be associated with the Republican party. However, this is no longer accurate as the Republican party appears to have abandoned the principles of limited and small government, individual freedom and choice. Libertarians do not believe that the United States should involve itself with global organizations (the United Nations for example), or interfere with governance of other countries.
